Deer Lakes County Park

From Pittsburgh: Take PA-28 NORTH to exit 12, Cheswick. Turn right off ramp onto Hite Rd. Go to stop sign at the 4-way intersection and turn right onto Russellton/Little Deer Creek Rd. Travel about two and a half miles and you will go through a tunnel. (There is a STOP sign at the tunnel). Go about another two miles to the next STOP sign (downtown Russellton). Continue straight through stop sign to the next intersection and make an immediate right onto Creighton/Russellton Rd (look for bank and small shopping plaza). After the underpass, make the left into the park at the Deer Lakes Park sign.

From the North: (starting north of Gibsonia) Take Route 8 south to Route 910. Turn left (East) on 910. Travel several miles to a stop light. Make a left at the light onto Saxonburg Boulevard. Follow to stop sign. A little past the stop sign make the right Y onto E. Union. The road winds past some schools on the left. Just past the high school (the third school) entrance, make the left onto Starr Rd. At the stop sign at the bottom of the hill, turn left onto Little Deer Creek/Russellton Rd. Make an immediate right onto Creighton/Russellton Rd (look for bank and small shopping plaza). After the underpass, make the left into the park at the Deer Lakes Park sign.

From the East: Take the I-76 (PA Turnpike) to the Allegheny Valley Exit 48. Take the Left ramp (north onto Freeport Rd). Follow Freeport Rd. to Pearl Ave. at the first stop light. Turn left at light onto Pearl Ave. This becomes Russellton/Little Deer Creek Valley Rd at the next stop sign. Travel straight through the stop and at about two and a half miles you will go through a tunnel. (There is a STOP sign at the tunnel). Go about another two miles to the next STOP sign (downtown Russellton). Continue straight through stop sign to the next intersection and make an immediate right onto Creighton/Russellton Rd (look for bank and small shopping plaza). After the underpass, make the left into the park at the Deer Lakes Park sign.
